To Pray

Today’s Encouragement is Mark 1:35 NLT Before daybreak the next morning, Jesus got up and went out to an isolated place to pray.

To Pray –

We need our daily bread, the Bible, God’s Word, and our spiritual food, each day, But this devotional is just a snack! Something to tide you over between more substantial meals of God’s Truth.

Hopefully this devotional will whet your appetite for more of God’s Word, serve as a gentle touch on your shoulder, a reminder that: God’s working things out for you, He Loves You, He’s got a plan, it’s going to be ok…. This is the intention, simply Encouragement.

So, my friend, be Encouraged to:

  • Continue to have a daily devotional time with God (with or without Today’s Encouragement)
  • Spend time in God’s Word regularly (this is feeding, and nourishing your spiritual being, the eternal aspect of your life)
  • Pray – like Jesus did, at all times, in all circumstances, this is our communication with God
  • Meet with other believers, and regularly attend a warm, loving Bible-believing church
  • Speak with others about your relationship with God, this grows your relationship with others and with God
  • and finally, Rest in the Finished Work of Jesus

These spiritual practices don’t save us, only Faith in Jesus saves us… but these steps can help us with the trials and challenges of this life and mature our faith!

Thank You Father that You designed us to be in a relationship with You, to be Your family, and Your children… and that we can grow closer to You in this relationship by living these principles.
