Today’s Encouragement is Psalm 121:5 ESV The LORD is your keeper; the LORD is your shade on your right hand.
The Lord Is Your Keeper –
“I don’t need no keeper!”
“Oh, really? You don’t? You’ve got everything figured out, never need any help?
Got some news for ya-”
There are times when we need help… when we come to the end of ourselves, when we don’t understand, when we can’t fix it, and when we are not in control. And in truth, this is the case almost all of the time… we just don’t recognize it!
So, we surrender, submit, and willingly serve Him… for in truth… He is our Keeper…. He is our Father… He is the Wisdom we need; He is the Direction we seek. He is the Leader; we are His followers. He is Almighty, we are not!
Now, It’s important to recognize the nature of our relationship with God. We are not using God to get ahead in this world; He won’t allow that! We aren’t placating Him by attending church regularly, reading our bible, or praying in public before meals. He isn’t impressed. He is not some tool to be used!
We are His People… and He Keeps us… Keeps us safe, on the right road, within His care and His Kingdom… He Keeps us.
Lord, Help us to accept Your Lordship over our lives, to remain surrendered to You and Your will and Your care. You are our Keeper! And we trust You to keep us. Help us to remain secure in Your keeping.
