Today’s Encouragement is Luke 15:7 NLT In the same way, there is more joy in heaven over one lost sinner who repents and returns to God than over ninety-nine others who are righteous and haven’t strayed away!
More Joy –
Once again, this ain’t my idea, it’s from the Bible…
So, you say you’ve lived a selfish, foolish life, wasting the good things you’ve had, hurting other people, hurting yourself, maybe have been, still are, addicted to some destructive substances or habits, just generally made a royal mess of your life? Need someone to save you from yourself?
That’s what Jesus does…
And you are exactly the type of person He is looking for. One who knows how desperately they need someone to save them!
And when we do say this – when we do cry out like Peter did as he was sinking in the sea… “Lord, Save me!” Or the thief on the cross, “Lord, remember me…” when we ask to be saved… This is God’s Joy! He rejoices when someone realizes that they are a sinner and calls out for help!
And it begins His favorite song of all!
Father God, how strangely wonderful Your grace is… and that You rejoice to hear the lost and desperate person call out for help!
