Today’s Encouragement is Acts 19:11 ESV And God was doing extraordinary miracles by the hands of Paul.
By the hands of –
Notice it does not read, “Paul was doing extraordinary miracles by using God’s power…” It is God Himself who does the miraculous work… certainly, He often uses people to do His work, His Will, on this earth… but God is in control! He can choose to work through His people… those who are His, are willing, are accepting, and listening to Him.
Yet it is not our will, not the will of Paul, nor of the person whom God uses… that determines what is done! It is God who sees and acts and does as He knows is best! Psalm 115:3 ESV “Our God is in the heavens; he does all that he pleases.”
And He can use us! As we are willing, and as He chooses, He can work through us to bless, encourage, and strengthen others! Not by our choice, not by our own strength…
Zechariah 4:6b ESV “Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the LORD of hosts.”
Father, help us to be willing tools in Your hands so that You can use us to share Your Love, Hope, and Grace with this dark and needy world.
