Today’s Encouragement is Galatians 3:29 NLT And now that you belong to Christ, you are the true children of Abraham. You are his heirs, and God’s promise to Abraham belongs to you.
God’s Promise –
A few thousand years ago, God called Abraham to leave his people and follow Him. And then God made a promise to him… “I will make you into a great nation. I will bless you and make you famous, and you will be a blessing to others. I will bless those who bless you and curse those who treat you with contempt. All the families on earth will be blessed through you.” Genesis 12:2-3 NLT
This amazing promise to Abraham so many years ago now that we belong to Christ (today’s verse) … belongs to you and me.
Not my idea… God’s Word!
We are God’s adopted children and all the promises He made to Abraham and the rest of His people… are ours!
We may not feel so blessed right now, maybe even feeling the opposite. But what is the Truth? Is it how we feel? That changes daily! It is what we think? We change our thinking all the time! Yet, does the Truth ever change?
God’s Word, perfectly revealed in Jesus, is the Truth! Regardless of our feelings or thoughts.
And as His chosen, selected, people… as His adopted family… God’s promises are ours!
Thank You, Father God, for the wonderful blessings You have given us as Your people. We truly can’t even imagine! 1 Corinthians 2:9b NLT “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.”
