Today’s Encouragement is Galatians 4:5 NLT God sent him [Jesus] to buy freedom for us who were slaves to the law, so that he could adopt us as his very own children.
His Very Own –
In adoption, the parent carefully, patiently selects and chooses the child to be adopted.
And God chose you and me!
He didn’t have to… it was His choice! You were His choice!
“As His very own” – my friend, this is complete acceptance into His family. We are not adopted as ‘black sheep’! We are not a ‘charity case’! We are full members of His household! We are God’s true children.
Galatians 3:29 NLT “And now that you belong to Christ, you are the true children of Abraham. You are his heirs, and God’s promise to Abraham belongs to you.”
Hear that? We are heirs, standing to inherit His promise to Abraham, by our right as children of God!
What is that promise? Only His amazing blessings! Tune in tomorrow!
Thank You Father for choosing and adopting us as Your very own sons and daughters… and for the promised blessings You have in store for us! Help us to accept and believe Your Truth, regardless of what we feel or think.
