Today’s Encouragement is 1 Timothy 1:16 NLT But God had mercy on me so that Christ Jesus could use me as a prime example of his great patience with even the worst sinners. Then others will realize that they, too, can believe in him and receive eternal life.
A Prime Example –
Paul recognized that he was the worst! He admitted it!
Yet, Jesus chose him, the worst guy around at the time… to save, transform, and then use as a prime example… of His great patience! And this great patience – with even the worst person!
Friend, God is never disgusted with us. (We get disgusted with ourselves!) Nothing, not even our sin can ever separate us from God’s love and patience with His children (Romans 8:38). He doesn’t refuse to or remove His love from us simply because we sin… remember sin is our human nature… He remembers that we are dust (Psalm 103:14).
My friend, our sin, no matter how black, cannot separate us from the mercy, the great patience, and the Love of God. He chose to save you and me. His choice. His mercy. His patience. His Love.
All this… while. we. were. still. sinners. (Romans 5:8)
Thank You, Father, for choosing and saving us. We could never deserve it. Thank you for the many prime example stories of Your Great Patience… just like me.
