He Sent Someone

Today’s Encouragement is Psalm 105:17 NLT Then he sent someone to Egypt ahead of them- Joseph, who was sold as a slave.

He sent someone –

God’s perspective is not like ours.  We see only the present … with its all-too-brief joys and its seemingly endless troubles and problems.

But God… He sees the beginning and the end; His perspective is eternal… And we are wise to recognize this truth.

Remember the story of Joseph.  He was dearly loved by His father, hated by his brothers, sold into slavery, imprisoned unjustly, and then… He was miraculously elevated… from prison to palace… in one day… and why?  To prepare for God’s people…

Genesis 50:20 NLT “You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people.”

And so his father and brothers, all came from the land of Israel, where they were suffering a great famine, into Egypt… where God, through Joseph had prepared many years of food.  A process that began when Joseph became a slave!

Friend, our God prepares for us… perhaps years in advance… like He did for Joseph’s father and brothers, the people of Israel.  It wasn’t easy for Joseph or his father… but God prepared and provided.

Jeremiah 29:11 NLT For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

Thank You, Father God… that You have good plans for us and that nothing can stop You from caring for and providing for Your own!

There’s nothing that our God can’t do
