Today’s Encouragement is Philippians 4:8 NLT And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.
Fix Your Thoughts –
At times all is well for us. We are truly at peace and grateful to God for all His blessings.
But that often isn’t the case for many of us. We are troubled, stressed, anxious, depressed… another endless list of our maladies…
My friend, those of us who believe in Jesus have a choice. When we find ourselves in such a pit, shallow and gray, or deep and dark… we have a choice.
Aways… because we are His… we can choose what we look at, where we focus our minds, where we fix our thoughts. We can choose to stare in defeat at the monsters we face… or… we can choose to look to Jesus… our Hope, our Strength. And then take another step of faith, after turning our eyes to Him… and speak His Truth into our lives, our situation, our dire circumstances… and recognize the Truth… regardless of these deep and dark realities… that Jesus is Lord over us, Lord over all. And because we are His… It Is Well.
Regardless of the storms wildly swirling around us… All Is Still Well with our souls… because of Jesus.
Father, help us to sing these words to You and to our troubled souls… to proclaim Your Truth… that Because We are Yours… It is well! All is well! Thank You Father, keep us, keep our thoughts fixed on You alone! We ask in Jesus’ Name.
