God of the Living –
We sometimes fall into a trap, thinking that God is limited in any way. That He cannot be aware of our situation because He’s busy with more important matters, more important people. As if He is too busy ‘running’ heaven to care for us on earth.
The Truth is, at this very moment, Almighty God hears every word of every prayer of His people. Every tear is seen, every need is considered, every struggle against sin is supported… He is infinite, inexhaustible, incapable of limitation.
He is God of the Living, and He rules everything. Time and space, life and death, joy and pain, you and me, all of creation, the universe, the cosmos.
And in His kindness and compassion, He has given us Eternal Life, immortality! He is our God forever! Although our understanding increases and our relationship with Him deepens, He is the same always, there is no need for change in Him.
And this God is our loving perfect Father. He knows us, and guides us, and provides for us, and nurtures us, and He does so now and will continue to do so eternally…
And we will be alive with Him – Eternally.
Father God, we need You! Thank You for salvation and eternal life and the many blessings You’ve already given us. Yet we face things in this life, almost daily, where we need Your power to help us. We will choose to look to You, to trust You for our every need. Thank You Father.
