Focus with me on this astounding phrase, so easy to overlook, yet… astounding!
Christ is your life!
He Is our life!?!?!?
He’s not only an historical figure, a wonderful story from long ago. He’s not just a messenger from God sent to teach us the right way to live. And He’s not only the Son of God sent to save us, to cleanse us from all sin, to set us right with God in every way… He is not “Only” anything! He is even more than we can possibly comprehend!
And… He is your life! Mine too!
What can this mean?
A few related verses:
Philippians 1:21 ESV For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
Galatians 2:20b ESV It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
This isn’t something reserved for ‘really good Christians’… it’s Truth for everyone who believes, all His people!
There’s something very deep, significant, powerful here – a truth we (I) haven’t fully explored yet.
Father God, You alone can help us understand, or at least accept, the many amazing truths in Your word… and this concept, this Truth, is beyond our human comprehension… so please help us (me) accept that…
Jesus is my Life.
