Today’s Encouragement is Colossians 3:2 NLT Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth.
Think about –
What are you thinking? It’s a wise person who considers what they are thinking about… Is this the best thing to think about? Is it a good idea to keep on thinking about… the things I’m thinking about? (Kinda makes ya dizzy, huh?)
It is what we think… not so much what we do… that determines our direction. Romans 12:2 NLT “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think.”
God can change … the way you think!
But we are on a journey together, of becoming more mature spiritually, becoming a wiser, stronger, dedicated believer in Jesus. And unless we ask Him, allow Him to work in our minds and our lives, (and He alone can cause a transformation, rebirth, new life) … unless we yield ourselves, including our minds, our thought life, to Him… we will not grow, or change spiritually. And in a year or ten from now we will still be in the same place we are today. Unless…
We begin to… “Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth.”
Father God, we can do nothing without You! Help us to choose wisely what we think about! Help us to choose Your Way! To leave our past behind and begin, again, today, our new life with you!
