Today’s Encouragement is Colossians 1:18b NLT He is the beginning, supreme over all who rise from the dead. So he is first in everything.
He is First –
Jesus is… the Beginning… Supreme… over Everything… He is First…
No one compares to Jesus. He’s not “like” any of the other names of history. Unlike anyone whom men have proclaimed to be great. Acts 4:12 NLT “There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.”
There is no other path to God, to Truth, to Eternal Life (John 14:6).
He alone is the Eternal God (John 1:1).
And as God in human form, Immanuel, God-with-us (Matthew 1:23),
He died to destroy death (2 Timothy 1:10).
And this is our Savior (Acts 4:12),
our brother (Matthew 12:50),
and our friend (John 15:15)!
Father God, help us to grasp as much as humanly possible, the wonder, the power, the glory of Jesus. For by faith in Him alone… we are saved! Jesus is First in Everything! May we take hold of this Truth, and allow, recognize, accept that… Jesus is to be First in our hearts, minds and souls.
