Today’s Encouragement is Colossians 1:22 NLT Yet now he has reconciled you to himself through the death of Christ in his physical body. As a result, he has brought you into his own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault.
Without A Single Fault –
Through the death of Christ… God has made us right with Him…
God has brought you and me into His Presence…
We are holy… We are blameless… We are faultless… before God!
Did you notice the tense? “He has brought” us… “Already! “You are…” Already!
And what exactly is it that we are? Holy, Blameless, Faultless!
And this is before God! In His Presence!
We can stop trying to be good enough (we never can be good enough). Jesus has Already! made us ‘good enough’… and not just barely enough… He’s made us completely pure, faultless as in a ‘faultless diamond’! But we are even more perfect!
Only God can do this! We cannot!
Now, it’s wise and good to strive to overcome our sinful nature. God gives us strength to do this, and it is our reality while here on earth to struggle with sin. If we do not struggle, it will overcome us. All sin is addictive, progressive, and leads to death (Romans 3:23). Don’t give it a foothold (Ephesians 4:27 NIV)
Rather, focus on what God has done for us through Jesus!
We – Are – Faultless!
Father, it’s too good for us to understand… how could you do such a beautiful thing? Still, we choose to accept the perfect gift which Jesus has provided for us… humbled, awed, amazed, unworthy… yet we desperately need this Amazing Grace!
