Letting

Today’s Encouragement is Romans 8:6 NLT So, letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace.

Letting –

Notice we only have two options.  Which are we going to LET control our minds?  We LET one or the other… have CONTROL… of our MINDS!  There is no third party, no independent option. Either it is the sinful nature controlling our mind or it is God’s Holy Spirit.

Now we each have the ability to evaluate – clearly and objectively, which is in control of our minds… simply by looking at the results, outcomes, or the fruits (Galatians 5:17-23) of our lives. 

Are we living, moving towards, experiencing, expecting, beginning to see… a life of Peace? Then we are letting the Spirit of God control your mind!

Conversely, are we struggling with doubts, fears, hopelessness, depression, addictions, and faithlessness?  Then the answer is obvious again, the sinful nature is in control of the mind. 

The road to Life is narrow, says Matthew 7:13-14, and the way of death, of a life led by the sinful nature, is wide.  The choice is simple, one or the other, no third option, and this choice is ours. 

The beauty of God’s Grace is that it is inexhaustible.  Unlimited.  He never grows impatient with us!

We always, every day, every moment, have the privilege and ability to choose whom we allow to control our mind! 

And we can pray! God wants to help us be free!

Thank You for the Grace You always extend to us, that we can choose to turn to You in trust and faith, at any time, even any number of times!
