Today’s Encouragement is John 16:24b NLT Ask, using my name, and you will receive.
You Will Receive –
Is it possible that:
- Every prayer is answered,
- The answer may be ‘Yes’, ‘No’, ‘Not Yet’, and some with – ‘Yes, but I am going to do it My way,’ and
- Our prayers may be answered – in ways we cannot see?
All His answers, every time God answers our prayers – He does so in His way, His wisdom over ours … In His perfect wisdom, timing and form. He doesn’t do ‘everything we want’ like parents of a demanding and spoiled child. He knows better. He knows exactly what is for our best. And He knows the best When, How, and Why.
Now this may seem contrived to some, as if we are grasping at straws to justify our faith, and the word of God.
But consider, God is infinitely powerful, truthful, and unchanging… And He would not, He cannot make promises that He doesn’t keep!
So is it possible… He does – just exactly as He has promised – answer every prayer?
Now, His answer may not be, however, in a time we desire, or even in a form which we expect. In Daniel 10:12-13, Daniel prayed and waited 21 days. During those 21 days Daniel did not have an answer to his prayer… yet God had still heard and had begun the process to answer his prayer!
Father God, grant us enough Faith that even when we don’t see our prayers answered in the manner and the timing that we want… we can still trust that You WILL answer… in Your perfect manner and Your perfect timing. And help us to see, to recognize when You do!
