Today’s Encouragement is 2 Timothy 2:13 NLT If we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny who he is.
Unfaithful –
There’s a beautiful message in Hosea. God tells Hosea to marry Gomer, a prostitute! Take her as your wife… knowing she will not be faithful. And when she proves unfaithful and she leaves him… God tells Hosea, go get her and bring her home and care for her as your wife, restore her. And then God explains… this is an example of my unfaithful people!
And Matthew 18:12 NLT [Jesus said] “If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them wanders away, what will he do? Won’t he leave the ninety-nine others on the hills and go out to search for the one that is lost?
This sheep was in the fold, but he wandered off… his faith was tossed aside, perhaps he was frustrated because his prayers weren’t answered, or he just began to doubt, and his faith began to fail… he was unfaithful.
My friend, God comes after us!
Like Hosea came after Gomer. Like the shepherd searched for his lost sheep.
If/when our faith falters, when we cannot carry on, when we begin to doubt, when we are unfaithful, when our strength is gone… He Is Faithful! His Strength is Perfect…
Thank You Father, for You incredible, immeasurable, and to us, even irrational Love. Your unlimited grace and forgiveness for us. We don’t deserve You, never have, never will. And yet… You still love us! Thank You Father!
