Today’s Encouragement is John 9:1 NLT As Jesus was walking along, he saw a man who had been blind from birth.
As Jesus was walking –
These words introduce a wonderful story of Grace, Power, and Sovereignty.
Briefly, the disciples asked Jesus a theological question based on the man’s blindness. Jesus replies with His great wisdom and then… He heals the blind man.
Notice carefully my friend…
The blind man didn’t ask for healing. He didn’t cry out for mercy like others did! He said nothing! And we know from later in this encounter that, as this man simply obeyed Jesus, he did not ask for healing, he did-not-even-know, who Jesus was!!! This man did not believe in Jesus at the time of his healing! Zero faith!
Shocking! Right? How is it possible?
There are several times recorded when Jesus healed and performed miracles for others who didn’t know Him as Lord. Like the water turned to wine (John 2:7); and Lazarus resurrected from the dead (John 11:43).
Yet many other times He clearly said, “Your faith has made you well.” (Mark 5:34)
We can see my friend, that He cannot be limited.
So, when someone says, “You are not healed because you don’t have enough faith.” This cannot be true.
God’s power, His intervention into our lives is not, cannot be limited by our lack of faith. He is Sovereign!
Thank You Father, for opening our eyes to the truth of Your unlimited power, grace and Love for us.
