Praying For Us –
Most of us want to be helpful to others. We want to lend a hand, give advice, or warn them when we think they’re taking a wrong path. We are generally caring people.
So, we do what we can, as much as others can accept, as tactfully as we know how… and yet, all too often… we recognize, there’s nothing more we can do! At this point we might say, in sincere empathy, “Well the least I can do now is pray for you.”
Really friend? Calling out to the Creator of all that is, the all-powerful (Omnipotent), all-knowing (Omniscient) and all-present (Omnipresent) unlimited and loving God of All. That’s the least we can do?
Yes, we need to make a phone call, to contact them, but first… we can pray for them. Truthfully this is the greatest thing we can “do” for anyone… to ask God to help them, bless them, guide them, heal them, deliver them…. Because He Can! And He knows exactly the who, what, how, when and where that they need.
We don’t know! We might think we do. But He knows for certain, exactly what is needed. And we can trust Him with this need.
So, pray for them first – and always, then act and help, and then trust God’s wisdom with the outcome. He always knows and does what is best. We may not like it, or understand it, but He is always good, and He is always right.
Lord, we trust You, we bring you our prayers concerning our needs and for others and we trust You with them.
