Today’s Encouragement is 1 Peter 5:7 NLT Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.
For He cares –
Ever been in a situation where you didn’t know what to do, even what to pray for? Good! Because we often don’t know what is right or best!!! But God certainly, always does! And so, we pray in Faith, asking Him to do His Will in this situation… We can’t DO anything… but He can! We don’t know what should be done, but He does!
So, my friend, we are most wise when we give all our worries and cares to Him! We DO the absolute best we possibly can, when 1) we recognize our inability to ‘fix it’,
2) we then relinquish all our perceived control and power in this situation, and 3) we pray as Jesus did, in His agony… “Not my will, but Yours be done.”
In the eyes of the world, this is ‘giving up’ ‘quitting’… but as believers, who know (though we don’t often act like it…) that God is all-wise and all-powerful… asking Him for His help is the absolute best thing we can do!
And we can trust Him… for He Cares! He cares more about our friends and family who are ill or confused or struggling in any way… than we ever could. He knows exactly what is needed. And because He Cares, and He Is Love (1 John 4:8) we can trust Him to do the absolute best, most ideal thing for us or for them.
Father God, our Dad, we give you all our worries and cares, we can’t fix them, we don’t even know what is best in these situations, but You do. And You care for us. Thank You Father.
