Today’s Encouragement is Ephesians 5:1b NLT …because you are his dear children.
His Dear Children –
Consider a child coming to his loving father, saying “Daddy, please love me and take care of me, forgive me when I do wrong, and guide me in my life.” This loving father would thoughtfully reply… “My precious child, I already do and already have!
I do love you and always will, I am taking care of you, I have forgiven and even forgotten all wrongs you have done or ever will do! And I am delighted to provide guidance and wisdom for your life!”
He could have also said, “Don’t you understand who I am? Don’t you know me by now? You’ve missed the boat here by thinking that you need to ask, to plead with me for My Love or these gifts, because you already have them!” Already!
My Friend, we need to ‘get over ourselves’ and stop wallowing in our sin-filled remorse and ceaseless apologizing to our Father for being a human being as He made us!
Rather than wallowing in remorse and shame we are called to live in joy and happiness because we are In Christ, His Dear Children! We are new creations and cleansed by His blood, not by our groveling, begging God for forgiveness… forgiveness which – He has already (eternally, freely, and irreversibly) granted to us!
Thank You Father God, that You are Perfect, that You know us completely, and still Love us completely! Help us to have a clear understanding of our perfect relationship with You as Your dearly loved children, people whom You have already chosen, purchased and cleansed for Yourself.

I love your songs. Thank you for your diligence in writing and correlating the message with songs of praise. I find myself singing them throughout the day. They are ‘implanted’ and live in me.

thanks so much. The music is an important part of the devotional message, and says it so much more beautifully and memorably than my words!
