Today’s Encouragement is 2 Corinthians 2:15-16a ESV For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing, to one a fragrance from death to death, to the other a fragrance from life to life.
The Aroma –
Ever consider what effect you have on others?
Do you bring hope and strength to the people around you? Or are you a blank wall, a closed door? Or maybe so needy that nothing can satisfy you?
Here’s an ordinary life example. The other day at a restaurant we met a friendly waiter, from the first, he was a real person… and as we talked with him, no surprise, he was a committed Christian.
I hadn’t immediately recognized it, but as we related to him, he certainly was the Aroma of Christ! (We later learned… his name was Israel!)
Now, the question for you and me is… how do we smell?
Father God, we long to represent You well! To bring to others the hope, joy, strength and blessing which You have already given to us! May we recognize and remember, that we portray the beautiful fragrance of Jesus to everyone we meet.
