Today’s Encouragement is Exodus 3:8a ESV and I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land to a good and broad land, a land flowing with milk and honey.
I have come down –
Several times in the biblical record, we see this theme of God coming down to us. He came to Adam in the garden, to Abraham, to Moses in this verse, to Isaiah, and others. But at the last – He came to all of us – in Christ.
And God came down… God with Us, Immanuel – in Jesus! And His purpose was the same as described in Exodus…
To bring us up!
To deliver –
To set us free –
To bring us to a better place –
To bring us closer to Him –
To Save Us!
Thank You, our Kind, Loving, and all-powerful Father, that You chose to come down… to bring us up! When we could not… You did!
