Today’s Encouragement is Isaiah 64:4 NLT For since the world began, no ear has heard and no eye has seen a God like you, who works for those who wait for him!
A God Like You –
Our God… is different than other gods, totally unique in comparison.
First, in our belief that He alone exists, eternally, and that there are no other gods who can compare, in fact that He alone deserves the title of God!
Also, other gods were and perhaps still are believed to be angry, temperamental, and plagued with unlimited human emotions…. Someone, some thing, to be placated, to be appeased, to be satisfied by our human actions or behaviors… as if a god’s satisfaction or pleasure… was somehow dependent upon humans!
That’s a pretty small view of a god!
But Our God … is Love! He is Wisdom, He is Merciful. He is Just. He is forgiving. He is all-powerful, all-knowing and all-present.
He doesn’t become disappointed, discouraged, or dissatisfied based upon our human behavior.
Rather… He works For…Those who wait… for Him!
And my friends, this is how He works for us… For Our Good! Romans 8:28 NIV “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
Father God, how can we thank You for Your Kindness and mercy for us? Thank You for loving us and providing Jesus, as the Way for us to be made completely right with you, to be Yours.
