My Glory

Today’s Encouragement is Isaiah 46:13 (NLT) For I am ready to set things right, not in the distant future, but right now! I am ready to save Jerusalem and show my glory to Israel.

My Glory –

There are many reasons God sent His Son to this earth. We probably cannot even know them all… But we do know these reasons:

  • So that whoever believes in Him will have eternal life. (John 3:16)
  • To introduce us to God’s true nature, “anyone who has seen me has seen the Father” (John 14:9)
  • To destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8)
  • Proclaim liberty to the captives (Luke 4:18)
  • And there are many more…

Here in today’s passage… To Show My Glory. God brought His Salvation, Jesus, to the earth, to His people, Zion… To Show. His. Glory…?

Consider (Selah)…

In this one act, the entire earth is transformed!  All peoples affected, all of time, history, future, past, and present… transformed by His Salvation!  All of – Time, Humankind, Eternity… will never be the same… All this… To Show God’s Glory.

Now, we certainly needed, still do, and will always need His Salvation!  But it wasn’t only for our needs!  The arrival, the reason, the purpose of the very concept of, the personification of Salvation, Jesus Himself… was, is and ever shall be…

God’s Glory!

Our Father, Infinite God, infinitely creating, unlimited by time or space, in Creation, in the Garden, in the Flood, in the Exodus, in the Wilderness, in the Manna… in the Bread of life, the pinnacle of all time, Jesus, Your Salvation…  in All of this… in All… For Your Glory.  We stand amazed, silenced, humbled, and reborn.

For Your Glory
