Today’s Encouragement is Ephesians 2:10a NLT For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus.
I am God’s Masterpiece –
(Continuing – Who I am in Christ)
I can hear it now… “What? I’m no masterpiece! I’m a mess!” And we all can say the same thing if we are honest. Yet, this is God’s Word to us, His statement of how He sees us…. We are created “anew” … reborn, re-created, new creations.
What is the final word in your mind? Is it how you feel about yourself? What other people think about you? Your spouse, your parents? Who gets to decide? In today’s world many think that they get to decide their own identity. God’s Word says that He decides! I’ll take His plan, thank you very much; How about you?
In God’s Truth, we are so much more than we can ever imagine, so much more than we think we ‘deserve’. This is why we’re focusing on our identity in God’s Word… who I am in Christ. It’s difficult to accept. Some argue against it. Some will reject it. And some will Gratefully, Humbly, Accept what God says about our identity in Christ.
And here – we are His Masterpiece! God is infinitely Creative, and infinitely Creating. He never has stopped creating… just look at the sunset He paints for us every evening, always unique, always changing, always awe-inspiring… just one small example of His creativity! And we aren’t only ‘just another creation…’ we are His Masterpiece!
Father, help us to accept, by faith alone, the Truth from Your Word…even when our human minds, our logic, or our thoughts don’t agree! You have the Final Word!
