Today’s Encouragement is 2 Corinthians 6:1 (NLT) As God’s partners, we beg you not to accept this marvelous gift of God’s kindness and then ignore it.
God’s Partners –
(Continuing – Who I am in Christ)
We are Partners with God! Some translations say we are co-workers with God. Sorry, this kinda amazes me. We’ve been reviewing for several weeks the amazing truths about who we are in Christ. And here is revealed another amazing truth… while we are working for God on this earth, sharing His Love and Mercy and Forgiveness with everyone around us… He is with us… working with us!
As with all the amazing identities we have in Christ… this is not reserved for the few… but for all who believe in Jesus! Not just for great evangelists, missionaries, preachers and teachers… but for you and me, average Jane and Joe in the pew…. We are Partners with God!
This verse goes on to express another important message… it’s important to not accept this marvelous gift – God’s kindness, mercy, grace, and salvation… and then ignore it! We’ve been given a true treasure… the gift of Eternal Life… the wisdom here is… embrace what we’ve been given, live in it fully, be grateful and share this marvelous gift with the world around us… please don’t ignore it!
God wants to work through you and with you, as a partner, co-worker… to share His Love with the world. He will provide everything you need to do this!
Father God, we are truly grateful. Help us to work with You to do Your will on this earth. Help us to hear Your voice and to follow You!
