Chosen

Today’s Encouragement is John 15:16a NLT You didn’t choose me. I chose you.

Chosen –

(continuing – Who I Am in Christ)

We are Chosen!  These words Jesus said to His disciples apply to us as well, because we are “those who believe” (John 17:30).

We are adopted (Ephesians 1:5) which also carries this idea of chosen and selected… by God to be His Own! 

My friend, it doesn’t get any better than that! 

Whom would you choose?  To be your adopted son or daughter?  (This thought is only to illustrate God’s amazing love.). My mind immediately goes to several of my brothers and sisters in Christ who are spiritually, like sons and daughters to me…

Now in this same way, but with infinitely greater love, purity, and relationship…

God. Chose. You! 

You are not, just another Christian, a nameless face in the crowd, No!  He knows you! He Chose you!

Father God, we admit that we struggle to comprehend the immensity of Your Love for us… that we would be Chosen to be called the children of God! Not by our merit, but by Your Grace. Help us to more clearly see this Truth, perhaps… as we look to the Cross…
