Forgiveness

Today’s Encouragement is Colossians 1:14 (ESV) in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

Forgiveness –

(continuing – Who I Am in Christ)

As adopted sons and daughters of the Living God, bought by the precious blood of Jesus, cleansed, and made saints by our faith in Him…we have redemption, we are Forgiven!

Hopefully, we have all thoroughly embraced, accepted and now rest in the Truth of Forgiveness.  This is an essential Truth for all believers to accept and live within.

All our Sin, past, present, and future… the intentional and unintentional… the little white lies and the monstrous thoughts… and also the actions… The words we’ve said that wound… the wounds we’ve inflicted upon others, even upon the innocent… The horrors of our minds, the sin of our dreams, fantasies… and the physically committed sins…

ALL.                            OF.                             OUR.                          SIN.

FORGIVEN.              FORGOTTEN.          BLOTTED OUT.       ERASED.

Not because of our baptism, our good deeds, our good intentions, our repentance, or our confession…   But only – because of Jesus and our belief, our faith, that He is the Son of God and our Lord and King!

Remember, on the cross, as He breathed His last… He said, “It is Finished”.  What was finished?  The redemption of all who would believe and accept the forgiveness, grace, mercy, and Love of God through Jesus.

Father God, we are overwhelmed by Your Grace and Forgiveness. And we are grateful.  Give us clarity in our spirit, to accept, embrace, and live within this Truth.  You. Have. Forgiven. Us.  We cannot thank You enough.
