Saints

Today’s Encouragement is Ephesians 1:1 ESV Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, To the saints who are in Ephesus, and are faithful in Christ Jesus:

Saints –

(continuing – Who I Am in Christ)

Paul addresses this letter to the saints.  Now, folks, these were ordinary, everyday believers… not holy, perfect, never thought a sinful thought… No, these saints… were just like you and me! 

“Wait a minute! I’m no saint!”  Oh yeah?  Read the Bible, my friend… You are!  Contrary to what many people think, and what some religions teach… (What are you going to believe… What people say? What some religions teach? What you’ve always thought? Or the Bible?)

We are saints!  Not because of what we do, not based on our actions, our character, or even our intentions! All of these aspects of our human nature are flawed… as all humans are… so none of these can qualify us as Saints!  It is only our Faith In Jesus as the Son of God and Lord of All… this faith saves us; this faith qualifies us as Saints.  We are the perfectly for all time cleansed and adopted children of the Living God!  We are Saints… Perfect in God’s sight by the perfect cleansing and covering of Jesus! 

Don’t feel it?  Don’t ‘see’ it? Doesn’t make sense in your human-logic mind?  So what! God said it!  It’s Truth!  Whether you feel it or see it or it ‘makes good sense’ to you… This is where Faith in Him triumphs over your own feelings, thoughts, and emotions.

Father God, we need Your transformation of our minds and hearts to accept this overwhelming truth… that we are Saints.  Help us to accept Your Truth wholeheartedly regardless of emotions and our ‘human logic’,
