Friends

Today’s Encouragement is John 15:15 [Jesus said,] “No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you.”

Called you Friends –

It still amazes me; we are friends of Jesus.  Like our best buddy, the one we can tell everything (well, almost).  But a friend like no other…  This Friend hears everything you say and don’t say, knows exactly what to do, what to say, how to respond to your needs, and Can help you!

Years ago, after I had just been saved at 34, my Aunt Frances told our whole family, “I want you all to know that I pray for each member of this family, by name, I ask God to touch your heart and bring you to Him, to save you and to bless you.”  I was blown away.  All my life, 34 years at that time, this lady had prayed for God to adopt me, to make me a friend of Jesus.

Friends, is it possible that there are people, unknown to you, who, like my precious Aunt Frances, are praying, and talking to Jesus about us?  Would you join them?  Start talking to your Friend, Jesus is always ready to listen.  As to a trusted friend, we can talk to Him.

Father help us pray, talk to Jesus, and share our whole heart, every need, hope, desire, and dream.  What a friend we have in Him! Thank You, Lord, for making us Your children, and friends of Jesus!
