Justified

Today’s Encouragement is Romans 5:1 ESV Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Justified –

(for the next few weeks, we will focus on our identity in Christ- who God says we are!)

Do you see the absolute clarity and authority of the Bible?  No “maybe, might be, or possibly,” just the Truth! We ARE already, now, Justified, set right with God, at Peace with God… through our Lord Jesus Christ.  The NLT reads, “We have been made right in God’s sight by faith.” 

Friend, it is our Faith in Jesus that sets us ‘right’ with God… Justified.  and it’s a done deal!  It’s not something we earn, work at, try to do, strive for… it’s ours because of a decision we have made… to have faith in Jesus, to believe Him. 

Now since this is Truth… it cannot be true that we need to DO anything to be right with God, our position is this: we are His forgiven and dearly loved sons and daughters.  We need to DO nothing to ‘earn’ or ‘keep’ this position.

But it’s a good idea to recognize that this is a gift from God and that we are privileged to be His and to be At Peace with God, through Christ!

Father, it is overwhelming to consider all that You have done for us through Christ.  Help us to gain an ever-growing understanding and appreciation for who You say we are in Christ. Thank You that we are Justified by faith in Jesus.
