Today’s Encouragement is John 1:12 NLT But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.
Children of God –
(for the next few weeks, we will focus on our identity in Christ- who God says we are!)
This is an incredible truth. You are God’s Child!
How is this possible? Why could I be? Read the verse again. – Because you believed and you accepted, Jesus.
Did you notice the first few words… But to ALL! Friend this position, this status isn’t for the chosen few who are ‘really good Christian people’ or the people who have some position in the church, pastor, elder, deacon, teacher… This position, the noblest for any human being, greater than the President of the United States, or the Richest Man in the World, or a Nobel Peace Prize winner… the absolute Greatest recognition in the world… of all time… is “A Child of God!” and this is who You and I are!
Father, we cannot say Thank You adequately. That you would allow us, simply by faith in Jesus and accepting Him as Your own Son… to be called children of God…
You are so very good to us…
