Today’s Encouragement is John 16:27 NLT for the Father himself loves you dearly because you love me and believe that I came from God.
The Father Himself Loves You –
We need to hear it again, to be reminded of the essential truths of God’s Word. And here is an excellent example of one such essential truth.
“The Father Himself Loves You.”
God’s love is specific, not only does God so love the world, He Himself loves You and me! And Why?
“Because You Love Me”
It is because we love Jesus. God loves us because we belong to Jesus, we are His followers, and this love of Jesus is our permission to enter into the family of God.
“And believe that I came from God.”
And in addition to loving Jesus… we believe that He is from God… that He is God in human form, that God sent Him here to live, teach, and then to die and be resurrected for us… this we believe, and this belief in Jesus brings us into Gods family and God loves us for these reasons!
Not because of what we do or don’t do, what we say, even because of our good intentions… but because we “love Jesus and believe that He came from God.” Period!
Father God, help us to believe, by Faith, not by our sight, not by our experiences, not by what we are taught… but by Faith alone… that You Yourself, truly Love Us. Help us to rest in Your Amazing Love for each of us, your chosen people.
