You Know The Way

Today’s Encouragement is John 14:4 NLT [Jesus said] And you know the way to where I am going.

You Know The Way –

Thomas asked in response, “We don’t even know where you’re going, so how can we know the way?” (My paraphrase) 

Many of us spend much of our lives, trying to find our ‘way in life’.  We refer to others as ‘wandering through life’, ‘trying to find themselves’, or ‘trying to decide what they’re going to be when they grow up.’

Jesus replied to Thomas- as if He said, “It’s Me, Thomas! I am The Way!  You know the way you are to go in this life because- You know Me, and I am The Way (v6).”

Friend, we know the way also because we are following The Way, Jesus.   We don’t need to understand every step, road, or turn to take… we can simply follow Him.  It’s not because we know on our own, but because we follow Him.  Wherever He leads us… that is The Way for us.

And remember He leads us to green pastures and to still waters… (Psalm 23), to peace… and all throughout this life He leads us on the Way, till one day he will come again (v3) for us and take us to be with Him.

Jesus is the Way… to the Father. John 14:6 NLT “Jesus told him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.’”

Lord Jesus, we thank You for showing us the way, for being – The Way to The Father.  Thank You for guiding us Lord as we strive to follow You because we choose to believe, and we know that… You are The Way.
