Today’s Encouragement is Acts 4:12 NLT “There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.”
No Other Name –
Paul, writing about Jesus, makes this clear yet profound statement. There is One Name… given by God Himself… by which (by the Name) … we are Saved.
Not a religion. Not our behavior. Not knowledge of the Bible. Not the knowledge of this world. Not our intellect. Not our wisdom. Not our wealth, beauty, fame, nor our good deeds…
Nothing! Except The Name of Jesus can Save!
And it was God’s doing, Salvation is God’s Gift to you! Ephesians 2:8 (ESV) “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God.”
Father God, help us to REST in this truth – Salvation comes through Jesus alone. and You have given us this blessing of faith in Him as a free gift! You are so truly Good to us! Help us to treasure the Name of Jesus.
No Other Name

My searching friend asked yesterday: Not t a new questionOne I grapple with: If God is so loving and powerfulWhy did He allow 6 million of His people perish in the Holocaust? (We’re all His people…). The basic answer is: SIN Any other thoughts you might want to add?

Not a simple question, not a simple answer. First, why do we believe God is loving and powerful? Because that is what the Bible reveals to us, right? And the Bible also reveals that He is Holy, Just, Righteous, and Wise. we also know that He is God and we ain’t! Isaiah 55:8-9 (NLT) 8 “My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the LORD. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. 9 For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.” All throughout the history of God dealing with His people Israel, there is a repeating pattern. Remember they are His people, in relationship with Him. The pattern is this. God blesses, but the people get complacent and take Him for granted and begin to sin, so, he sends prophets to tell them to repent, to turn back to Him, the people then either refuse to repent and suffer greatly for that refusal, or they repent and do not suffer (like Ninevah in the book of Jonah). Remember also that we are saved by No Other Name than Jesus Christ. Only faith in Him (the gift of God) can save us, can set us ‘right’ with God (which is Righteousness), and grant us His blessings and protection as His dearly loved children. We may not ‘like’ how God deals with us, but remember Isaiah 55:8-9 above… He is God and we ain’t! He doesn’t ask us to approve of His actions, ways, or thoughts… He doesn’t need our ‘ok’ or our agreement. We must come to Him on His terms, not on our terms.
does that make sense?
