The Wisdom of this World

Today’s Encouragement is 1 Corinthians 3:19a NLT For the wisdom of this world is foolishness to God.

The Wisdom of this World –

Ever known anyone who was impressively intelligent; well-read, well-educated – an intellectual? 

Is it possible that those who pursue the wisdom of this world are just as misguided as those who pursue fame, wealth, or worldly pleasures.

My friend, only one thing matters. Faith In Jesus Christ.

And this Faith brings us into God’s Love… and His Love transforms us! Because He is Love (1 John 4:8). And because Love is the greatest thing in the world (1 Corinthians 13:13)

At the end of our days on the earth, which for us becomes the beginning of the best of our lives… what benefit to mankind or to others will be left?  Our wealth, fame, or great wisdom?  We are like grass (1 Peter 1:24)

Paul addressed this briefly in 1 Corinthians 2:2 ESV For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.

And each of us ‘qualifies’ for this godly wisdom… simply by our Faith in Jesus Christ.  No person is superior to you… You are a Child of the Most High God!

Father God, help us not to be impressed nor intimidated by those who have the wisdom of this world.  We know true wisdom is knowing You, Your Truth, and manifested in Your Love.  Help us to live underneath and within, Your Wisdom and Love, as we extend both to all those around us.
