Today’s Encouragement is Psalm 147:10-11 NLT He takes no pleasure in the strength of a horse or in human might. [11] No, the LORD’s delight is in those who fear him, those who put their hope in his unfailing love.
The Lord’s Delight –
Consider this for a moment, God is delighted. What could possibly cause Him to be delighted?
We learn here that it’s not the power of a magnificent horse, nor any strength of a man… not these things… then what?
It’s in You, my friend! God’s delight is You! Because we fear Him, i.e., we respect, honor, and worship Him and we hope in His unfailing Love. These things make us a delight to God.
Just as we can understand that a loving earthly father would be delighted with the love and respect (fear) of his children, who trust him, rely upon him, and are confident of his unfailing love…
So is our Father God.
Remember that we are made clean by the blood of Christ (Ref) so God sees us as pure, unstained by sin, doubt, or fears. No matter what we think of ourselves, it is His opinion of us that truly matters… and He sees us as new creations in Christ…

Thank You Father for Your great grace, unmerited favor. It’s truly unimaginable to us, that we are Your delight. Help us to accept this wonderful truth, and to continue to hope and rest in Your Unfailing Love.
