Today’s Encouragement is John 5:5 NLT One of the men lying there had been sick for thirty-eight years.

Ever notice how Jesus personally and intentionally encountered individuals? Like this man at the pool, one man among a multitude(v3), the Samaritan woman (John 4), the leper. (Matt 8), the woman healed by touching his clothing (Matt 9), and Nicodemus (John 3). The Gospel is filled with individual, personal encounters with Jesus!
And today my friend, Jesus is still interested in personal encounters! He doesn’t relate to us only as a King over His servants (although He is, and we are!) but as His friends! (John 15:15) We are His friends! And He is more intimately aware of and involved in each one of us… than we can possibly comprehend.
He’s That Good, and that Loving.
Yet, He waits for us to be ready, to accept Him, to say Yes to Him!
Father God, help us to say Yes to You! Yes, to everything You have for us, and Yes, to what You desire to do in our lives. Thank You that You still relate to us individually.
