Today’s Encouragement is Psalm 124:2-3 NLT What if the LORD had not been on our side when people attacked us? They would have swallowed us alive in their burning anger.
On our side –
The Lord is on our side. He is not only beside us – accompanying, but He is also beneath us – supporting, above us – uplifting, and within us – filling… He is our life!
Whenever we face battles with others, a simple disagreement, an argument, or an all-out struggle with someone who has decided they hate us, for good reason or no reason… my friend… God is still, was then, now is, and always will be – on our side!
Even when we are the cause, when we hurt someone, or when we have ‘brought this upon ourselves’… God IS on our side!
Now – what if He had not been…
What would have happened, could have happened to us?
As we recount our life’s situations struggles of this type, a car accident, illness, or tragedy… consider… what could have happened to me? If the Lord had not been on my side?
My friend, is it possible that… If He was not on your side… much worse could have happened to you? Can you see how He has spared you from much pain, suffering, and even death? And He has brought us through all of our problems… great and small… because we belong to Him! His dearly loved sons and daughters… He is on our side!
Father, thank You for always being on our side, with us, sparing us, and caring for us. We are grateful!
