Today’s Encouragement is 2 Chronicles 31:21 NLT In all that he did in the service of the Temple of God and in his efforts to follow God’s laws and commands, Hezekiah sought his God wholeheartedly. As a result, he was very successful.
Sought His God –
Hezekiah was a rare king; he was great because He sought God wholeheartedly. Many other kings either didn’t honor God at all, or started out well but didn’t finish well.
God gave the nation, under Hezekiah’s leadership, a great and miraculous deliverance from their threatening enemy, similar to the parting of the Red Sea after they left Egypt.
He led his people in restoring and cleansing the temple, reinstating worship, tithing, and observing the Passover. He led the nation in repentance, turning away from sin and turning back to God.
And the entire nation was blessed –
because he “sought his God wholeheartedly.”
Father, help us also, individually, and as a nation, to seek You with all our hearts.
The more I seek You
