Except Jesus Christ

Today’s Encouragement is 1 Corinthians 2:2 NLT For I decided that while I was with you I would forget everything except Jesus Christ, the one who was crucified.

Except Jesus Christ-

Reading enables our minds to work, envision, evaluate, and educate.  Do we agree with what we read? So, as you read this verse, what images, possibilities, questions, or alternatives come to your mind?

As we read God’s word, we can trust Him and His words, His Truth completely, wholeheartedly, without fear or concern.  And as we surrender to Jesus, we trust Him completely with all we are, have, and hope to be…

So, for just a moment, imagine with me, what might it be like to do this, to “forget everything except Jesus Christ…”?

There is much to recall in His name… His Birth, His Baptism, calling His disciples, His teachings, His miraculous works, healing, deliverance, compassion, love, forgiveness, death, and glorious resurrection and ascension!

This is the Gospel – the Good News of Jesus.

Now tell me, friend, what else compares to Him, what else could we possibly need?

Nothing compares to You Lord Jesus! May we also forget everything except Jesus! May we truthfully sing along, “Hallelujah, all I have is Christ!”

All I have is Christ
