Embraced Him

Today’s Encouragement is Luke 15:20 NLT “So he returned home to his father. And while he was still a long way off, his father saw him coming. Filled with love and compassion, he ran to his son, embraced him, and kissed him.”

Embraced him –

Jesus taught this parable to clearly reveal that our Father God is always watching and waiting for His rebellious child (you and me) to return to Him… Isn’t it astounding – God is always waiting for us!  And He’s actively watching for us, – “while he was still a long way off, his father saw him coming!”

Imagine… God Himself… waiting for you; watching for you to return to Him.  And when we do turn to Him and come to Him, every time, His response? …. He runs to us!  He embraces and kisses us, His dearly loved sons and daughters.

Our human mind thinks, I could never go home to Him, I’ve done too much wrong, I’ve done this so many times before… but remember there is no end to Grace.  God isn’t tired of you trying and failing… because He is “Filled with love and compassion.”

Thank You Lord for always waiting and watching for us.  Thank You that it’s never too late for us to return to You, to Your loving arms. Again, and Again.

Arms of My Savior
