Today’s Encouragement is Psalm 46:1 NLT God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble.
Always Ready To Help –
Jesus told us clearly in John 16:33 “I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”
We sometimes ask, “Why is everything and everyone against me?” “Why is this life so hard?” “Why doesn’t God make things easier for me?” “What am I doing wrong that causes things to go so badly for me?”
Recognize my friend, First, we will have troubles on this earth, and second, God doesn’t isolate us from all the troubles in this life. But He is WITH us and “always ready to help” us in our troubles! And He has overcome this world and all it’s troubles! He is greater than all our troubles, problems, and sorrows!
You may have heard someone say, “Sometimes we treat God like a spare tire, we only go to Him when we need Him.” Sadly, this is true for many people. Life is just fine, they say, until the troubles of this life come… and then they think… “Why did God let this happen to me!”
Friend it isn’t our devotion, our good deeds or clean living that determines what trouble we may face in this life. “Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows.” Pretty clear! Remember He is WITH us, He is the Overcomer, and He is “Always Ready to Help!”
Father God, help us to turn to you, always, in good times and in trouble, because You are “Always ready to help” us! Thank You Father for Your great Love.
