Today’s Encouragement is 1 Corinthians 2:16b NLT “…But we understand these things, for we have the mind of Christ.”
The mind of Christ –
Selah (means – pause, meditate on this, let this thought sink in for a moment).
Paul speaks to all believers. It was not to super-spiritual, exclusive, special people… but to the whole church in Corinth he writes this. We have the mind of Christ. This we must accept by faith, it is a spiritual truth, not practical, not physical, only by faith.
Brothers and Sisters, we have the mind of Christ because He lives within us (John 14:23 & 17:21) precisely because we are special – we are His own dearly loved people – we are His favorites – and we have the mind of Christ!
When we come to know Jesus, He lives within us, He speaks to us, He comforts us, He guides us, and we become His. Galatians 2:20a NLT “My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me.
We need time to attune our minds to hear His mind, but this comes by relationship, time spent in His word, hearing His truth, and we then begin to learn how He thinks, how His “mind works.”
Father God, help us to accept and embrace this and all Your amazing Truth, even though we may not fully understand this mystery of Christ dwelling within us, His Life and His Mind… in us. Help us to believe Father.
