Today’s Encouragement is Luke 18:1 NLT “One day Jesus told his disciples a story to show that they should always pray and never give up.”
Never give up –
How often are we tempted to just Give Up? Give up on Hope, on Life, on Prayer, even give up on God? These thoughts, doubts, and fears come to all believers at times… We are human, and we realize that we are sinners saved only by God’s Grace. And we have seasons of life when things are good, and some seasons when things are terribly bad; sometimes life is so wonderful we cannot believe it, and other times so incredibly difficult, tragic, horrifying… that we despair and are ready to just give up!
Ecclesiastes 3 tells us that there are seasons of this life… a time for all things. A time for joy and a time for sorrow. Remember these are just seasons… and seasons come and they go.
Jesus explained, Luke 18:7b NLT “So don’t you think God will surely give justice to his chosen people who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off?”
God will give justice to His chosen people, and that’s you and me! We are His people, chosen, adopted, loved, and saved by our faith in Jesus.
Father God, please help us to – always pray and never give up – praying, hoping, and trusting You! We believe that Your Love never fails us.
