Today’s Encouragement is 1 John 5:5 NLT And who can win this battle against the world? Only those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God.
Those Who Believe –
Notice, it is when we believe… that is when we are victorious – when we win this battle against the world. Notice what it is not…. It is not ‘someday’, not ‘only in Eternity’, not by what we do or don’t do, not by what we say, or don’t say, not ‘if we are perfectly sinless’ (no one ever is sinless without Christ’s cleansing!) but only when – we – believe, when we have Faith.
“But”, we add, “I sometimes waiver in my faith, sometimes I have doubts! So, I can’t be victorious then, can I?” Friends, please stop expecting perfection from yourself (or others) when only Jesus is perfect! God knows us, He remembers that we are ‘dust’ (Ps. 103:14) and yet He grants us such a blessing… such overwhelming, complete Victory is ours… through a simple childlike Faith In Jesus, only those who believe.
Father God, thank You for your amazing grace… that simply by our belief in You, and Your Son, Jesus… we win the battle against his world, we overcome, we are free!
