Today’s Encouragement is Romans 8:28 NLT And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.
For The Good –
We don’t believe this do we? Bad stuff happens… bad medical diagnosis, loss of a job, loss of a marriage, or a loved one through death, and we think, “Really? We’re supposed to trust God when it’s all falling apart! There’s no way out of this! I’m done!” We are ready to throw in the towel, quit, run away, go live under a bridge…
Friends, that’s exactly when God comes in! He can only work when we quit! When we quit trying to fix things on our own, we quit fighting for our own way, when we stop succeeding in our own strength. This is when His strength can come in.. as we surrender to Him!
We are not surrendering to our circumstances our failures, fears, and faults. We are not quitting our Faith in Him! Rather, we choose to surrender to His Will, His Way, and His Wisdom. He knows best and He knows when, and what we need to grow closer to Him!
And He will make all things work together For us, who love Him and seek Him, and For our Good! Remember that He has a plan for each of us (Jer. 29:11). And we are wise when we choose to seek Him and to surrender to Him, the Almighty God, so that He can bring His good plans for us to reality!
Lord, help us trust you. Especially when things seem so impossible… You make all things work together for our good!
