Today’s Encouragement is Matthew 18:1 NLT About that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who is greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven?”
The Greatest –
Jesus’ answer stunned the disciples, v4 “So anyone who becomes as humble as this little child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven.”
My friends, it’s not the Presidents, Kings, best or most popular Preachers, it’s not the great teachers, wisest men, richest people, most beautiful women, rock stars, and it’s not the influencers. These are not the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven! It’s humble people, as humble as a child who are Great in God’s Kingdom!
Remember – “My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the LORD. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.” Isaiah 55:8
The greatest in God’s Kingdom, the eternal, forever realm, which is perfectly right, true and just… in this Kingdom, the humble, ordinary child-like believer… is The Greatest!
We cannot explain Why – His ways are far beyond us… Yet this truth is undeniable… God exalts the humble.
(Matt. 19:30)
Father God, help us to be child-like and humble, to look to You, as a child looks to its loving parents, for our every need; in faith and unquestioning confidence, that You Will Provide, Protect and Providentially care for us, with a Father’s perfect Love.
