Today’s Encouragement is Matthew 15:28 NLT “Dear woman,” Jesus said to her, “your faith is great. Your request is granted.” And her daughter was instantly healed.
Your Faith Is Great –
This woman had ‘Great faith’. She came to Jesus even though she was well aware that his people, the Jews, did not associate with her people, the Gentiles. Jesus even ignored her first pleas (v23)! She persisted, (her great faith) and kept on asking Him!
In verse 25, she came and knelt before Him… honoring Him and pleading with Him!
These are characteristics of Great Faith! Persisting, Pleading, Trusting, Honoring.
Friends we also know of those who had little faith (Matt. 14:31). You may feel like you also have ‘little faith.’
But – we can move from ‘little faith’ to ‘Great Faith’… first by choosing, deciding to increase, allow growth in, our faith, then asking God to do this within us (Luke 17:5), and then practicing and exercising our faith.
And as we grow in Faith… “ask whatever you will and it will be done for you!” John 15:7.
Father, increase our faith.
